REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Step 1: Complete your application online.
Apply early. Blue Mountain Christian University uses a rolling admissions policy, which means applications are reviewed and admission decisions are made on a regular basis beginning each September. This means we continue filling a new class until there is no more space. For that reason, it's very important that you apply as early as possible. Applications are completed online and there is no application fee. Apply Here.
Step 2: Submit official scores report.
ACT/SAT
- English portion of the ACT: minimum 19 with an overall score of 18
- Must have a combined 1020 on reading and math or 960 overall score.

English Language Proficiency Requirement
International undergraduate students admitted to Blue Mountain Christian University must demonstrate English language proficiency to register for academic courses. Any one of the following scores are acceptable to demonstrate English language proficiency.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum score of 6.5.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 80 for Internet-based test.
Step 3: Official transcript evaluations are required in most cases. (Very Important)
Before being admitted to Blue Mountain Christian University, you must have your transcripts evaluated and translated on a course by course basis by one of the following approved services:
- World Education Services (WES) www.wes.org
- International Credential Evaluations (InCred) http://www.incredevals.org
- Education Credential Evaluators (ECE) www.ece.org.
If the student attended High School or college in the US, official transcripts must be sent directly from the high school or college to BMCU.
Step 4: The following information must be also submitted before being fully admitted:
- Immunization Record including recent TB test within one year
- Copy of Passport
- Proof of Adequate Financial Support (Must be sent directly from the bank to BMCU)

After you have been fully accepted: The Form I-20
Once you have submitted all required application documents and been fully admitted to the university, you will be mailed your Form I-20 and can begin the F-1 visa application process. This document must be kept somewhere safe.
This form, your passport, financial records and proof of your ties to your home country must be presented to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country along with a completed Student Visa application form. *If your plans change, and you decide not to attend Blue Mountain Christian University, please return the Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) to the PDSO or the DSO and notify the Admissions Office of your decision. If you wish to defer your admission to a subsequent semester, indicate your decision when you contact these offices.
Payment of Tuition and Expenses at BMCU
$500 tuition deposit that must be paid before your I-20 will be mailed. (refundable upon withdrawal or at Graduation)
According to the Blue Mountain Christian University catalog, International students must show proof of funds to cover expenses for one full year’s cost. The proof of funds must come directly from a financial institution to BMCU’s International Admissions Recruiter.
Upon arrival at Blue Mountain Christian University, International students must be prepared to pay the full semester cost after registering for courses each semester in the BMCU Business office. Please note that there is not an ATM on campus, however an ATM is located across the street at the People’s Bank.
